Shipping policy
By placing an order through this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to provide clarity about our services and to protect both Sephton Motors and our customers.
1. General
All orders are subject to stock availability. While we strive to keep inventory information accurate, discrepancies may occasionally occur.
If an item you ordered is unavailable, any in-stock items will be dispatched immediately. We will then contact you to choose one of the following options for the unavailable item:
- A full refund, or
- Waiting until the item is restocked and shipped.
2. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order.
All shipping fees are charged at the time of purchase and represent the final cost to the customer.
3. Returns
3.1 Returns Due to Change of Mind
Sephton Motors accepts returns for change of mind within 30 days of receiving your order.
Returned items must be:
- Unused
- In their original packaging
- In resellable condition
Customers are responsible for arranging and covering return shipping costs.
Once the return has been received and approved, a store credit will be issued for the value of the returned item(s). Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.
3.2 Warranty Returns
Warranty claims must be submitted within 90 days of receiving the item.
Customers must initially pay for return shipping. If the warranty claim is approved, Sephton Motors will reimburse the return shipping costs.
Warranty claims are processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item.
Approved warranty claims may be resolved through one of the following options (subject to availability and customer preference):
- Refund to the original payment method
- Store credit
- Replacement item
4. Delivery Terms
4.1 Domestic Transit Times
- Economy Shipping (Free): 5–8 business days
- Standard Shipping (£15): 3–4 business days
- Handling Time: 1–3 business days
4.2 International Shipping
Sephton Motors does not currently offer international shipping.
4.3 Dispatch Times
Orders are dispatched within 2 business days of payment confirmation. Our warehouse operates Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays. During peak periods, dispatch may take slightly longer.
4.4 Change of Delivery Address
Delivery addresses may be updated any time before dispatch. Please contact us as soon as possible to request changes.
4.5 P.O. Box Shipping
We can deliver to P.O. Box addresses using standard postal services only. Courier delivery is not available for P.O. Boxes.
4.6 Military Address Shipping
We can ship to military addresses using standard postal services (e.g., Royal Mail). Courier delivery is not available.
4.7 Out-of-Stock Items
In-stock items will be dispatched immediately. Backordered items will be shipped as soon as they become available.
4.8 Delayed Deliveries
If your order exceeds the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate with the courier and provide an update.
5. Tracking Notifications
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking link via email, allowing you to monitor your delivery in real time.
6. Damaged Parcels in Transit
If your parcel arrives damaged:
- If possible, refuse delivery and contact us immediately.
- If the parcel has already been accepted, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.
7. Duties & Taxes
7.1 Sales Tax
All prices on our website include applicable VAT.
7.2 Import Duties & Taxes
Sephton Motors does not currently ship internationally. If international shipping becomes available, customers will be responsible for all import duties and taxes. Failure to pay these charges may result in the parcel being returned at the customer’s expense. Refunds will cover product value only and exclude shipping fees.
8. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled prior to dispatch by contacting us directly. Once an order has been dispatched, cancellations are subject to our Returns Policy.
9. Insurance
All parcels are insured against loss or damage up to the value declared by the courier.
9.1 Damage in Transit
If a courier confirms that a parcel has been damaged in transit, Sephton Motors will issue a refund or replacement.
9.2 Lost in Transit
If a parcel is confirmed lost by the courier, a refund or replacement will be issued once the investigation is complete.
